Did you see the solar eclipse? How are you feeling? Solar Eclipse's have powerful messages to share with us.
Tom and I looked forward to a relaxing evening on Mt. Tam watching the solar eclipse. We packed wine, cheese, fresh baked bread that we bought at the Sunday morning meditation at Green Gulch, and planned a hike to our secret sacred circle spot on Mt. Tam. We parked our car at Stinson Beach and hiked for over an hour up the Matt Davis trail to an opening. We detoured off the main trail and hiked up a very steep hill to visit the sacred circle only to find other people sitting at our spot. How did they know about this spot? I mean, this was "our spot". Okay, so no big deal, we'll find another spot. So, we made our way through some tall thistle (ouch! ouch! ouch!) just in time for the rare solar eclipse. I did not bring enough water, we were dehyrated, it was cold and windy, and Tom's knees were in a lot of pain. What happened to our enlightening solar eclipse experience?
Ahh...EXPECTATIONS! I decided to make a wish to accept things just as they are instead of wishing for things to be different. All is well (as it always has been).

5:45 p.m. The acceptance wish!
6:00 p.m. Sacred cairn rock circle on Mt. Tamalpais.
6:00 p.m. Happy to see my offering (heart coral from Bali) I placed on the cairn over a month ago.
6:10 p.m. A couple sitting at "our picnic spot". They look so peaceful. Okay, okay, I guess they can have OUR picnic spot. :)
6:23 p.m. solar eclipse time. I LOVE the lens flare in this shot! Unfortunately, my camera did not capture the eclipse. But, it was pretty darn awesome!!
6:30 p.m. I took this photo with Tom's polarized glasses in front of my camera. Do you see a UFO above the ocean or is that another lens flare? ;)
